DRUGSCAN Now Providing COVID-19 Testing Lab Services

DRUGSCAN, in partnership with ACM Global Laboratories, is proud to announce that we are now offering COVID-19 testing as part of ViraScan—our new viral testing service.

Testing is only one critical step in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 — time is of the essence. That’s why we consistently deliver test results in 48 hours or less after receiving a specimen.

DRUGSCANs’ test uses the Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) to detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and is the most widely used, and accurate method for identification of acute infections. The test itself is performed using a sample collected from a patient by nasopharyngeal or nasal swab from which we can identify the presence of COVID-19’s genetic material, or viral RNA which will be present in the body before antibodies form or symptoms of the disease are present. And with early detection, we can help keep more people safe from infection.
